The Book-keepers Network (BKN) is a professional network for book-keepers. Our aim is to provide an information and communication network for book-keepers, and to promote and enhance the book-keeping profession within the UK.
Our membership reflects the diversity of the book-keeping industry. We represent book-keepers of every size and background, whether self-employed or employed, qualified by exam or qualified by experience, or those just starting out. All book-keepers are welcome at BKN.
A major component of BKN is The Book-keepers Forum, which since 2006, has become the UK's most visited, and trusted, online discussion forum for book-keepers. Membership of the forum is free, and members can debate topical issues and provide help and support to one another.
BKN is a private enterprise, focussed on offering commercial resources and support solutions to SME book-keepers and accountants. As a commercial organisation, BKN is therefore very different to not-for profit book-keeping and accounting institutes, whose primary focus is that of providing qualifications and overseeing regulatory issues. In addition, we have formed strategic relationships with a wide range of partners who are committed to the delivery of quality resources to book-keepers in the UK.
BKN is headed by two directors with over 20 years combined accounting experience, and are ably supported by a team of four dedicated staff at our Somerset offices.
